Nice Day in the Neighbourhood

Now, I usually have a schedule I stick to. I read my morning things, I do Wii Fit and then I make myself a sammich.

But I've been getting increasingly bored with that routine. You can only do that for so long before it just becomes dull. So today I decided to do something different. I went for a walk around my neighbourhood. The weather in California's been unseasonably warm... so why not take the time outside.

So, I went out for a bit of a walk with a camera and took some pictures. It was a nice day for it. I got some pictures of a couple of labs playing fetch in the lagoon with their owner and a crane eating bugs in some grass. The place where I live has a lot of waterways. It's a lovely location. And I ended the walk by picking up some Vietnamese food and played with my cat.

I do enjoy getting some pictures around the lagoons. I think I might at least make the walk a weekly occurrence while the weather is still inclement.

  1. I like the name of your blog, and yes, I didn't have to look up the meaning. I've been studying some Kanji on my own (since I ended up signing up a little late for the Kanji course and decided not to sit on the waiting list).

I haven't become bored yet with the Wii Fit, though I'm like a hamster when it comes to exercise- just put me in a plastic ball and I'll run around for hours!

Very nice blog. I'm following now so that means I'll be back soon. :D

P.S. Nice picture. I like symmetrical things.

  2. Jeannie-

    Thank you very much.

Yeah, I just got it to clock in at 10 hours. I had some huge lag because of the holidays. But I've unlocked like almost everything on it. LOL.

I thought about it, but I'm trying to get a new job... so I should keep my days open.

We still need to plan on getting some Japanese food.^-^

And yay to being able to read the title. That's the kanji that I'll be adding to my tattoo.

  3. Jeannie - the WORST tattoo you could get would be a kanji tattoo - unless you can read kanji.

I know a lot of japanese and they delight in seeing the fuck up tattoos on stupid white english people - often kanji'll have more than one meaning so you might think you've got 'eternal' or some such shit but you might also have 'dumb ass' :-)

also japanese complain to me that kanji tattoos look shit - the best explination i got was that they looked often like 'bad hand writing'.

so resist. kanji is beautiful but us kanji illiterates must stay away.

after saying all this i doubt you were serious about any such thing anyway but i thought it was fun to tell what i know on it.
